Located in the heart of Central Asia, Uzbekistan boasts robust economic strength among the Commonwealth of Independent States and serves as a traditional friendly neighbor of China. In recent years, as Uzbekistan continues to advance opening-up, numerous foreign enterprises including Chinese companies have invested and developed businesses locally. This trend has also brought new challenges to the country’s domestic power and energy supply system.
